Caught it late Friday night after my girls rig Drake and had a good night overall. After being on my feet for hours was nice to sit on my ass at the twelfth night and just switch off and enjoy a bit of action and meaning. And that is exactly what gives the Lockout. If you've seen Luc Bessons Europacorp action flicks that you know what to expect. I love them all and this is no exception. Guy Pearce is a thief show as Agent Snow, John McClane space age. His Wisecracks and violent means to keep your attention. Maggie Grace is as good as ever as the damsel in distress and help executives make a bang up job as well. Nearly stealing the show from Pearce, but still, Joseph Gilgun as nutty Scot, be sure to make you laugh once or twice, even if you are hating the film. The effect is good, the acting over-the-top and exciting and generally good late night entertainment. Like all kinds of movies, I'm sure the critics and big sci-fi nuts are going to hate. But as I always say, for people who can switch off and enjoy some fun stupid, it should be. So hate and watch the enemy observers. *** / *****.
