Review:
My favorite movie of all time. This is a flawed piece of work by Coppola and seeing the documentary Heart of Darkness makes it more interesting. Coppola is currently the king of Hollywood after Godfather and GodfatherII and developed the ego necessary to even dare try to make a movie like Apocalypse Now. Through sheer arrogance she went to the Philippines to join script and I thought he knew what he would do when he got ; there. Just like Captain Willard thought he would know what to do when he got to the metal Kurtzs Colonel. And like Willard, he does NOT know what he will do when he got there. This is similar to the work of American cinema, beautifully photographed and the river is a perfect metaphor for the story and background. What I like about Apocalypse Now, is that it does not offer an answer or conclusion. Therefore, since the open endedness, he angered some viewers who like their movies to be much clearer. This film against categorization. Some call it a war movie at all, in fact more of a personal human studies. The best thing about Vietnam Platoon pic in my opinion and if visitors are looking for a retelling of the first Vietnam War went to answer it. Coppola should be commended for its clear the bureaucratic war he gave quite effectively by meeting with Gen.Corman and Lucas (Harrison Ford) and Playmate review. Kilgore sheer audacity made him an unforgettable character and always will dawn raid classic.It Hollywood almost psychedelic journey to true end-which makes it a movie not accessible to everyone. The film is intended for interpretation and immediate contemplation, rather than a small footnote gratification.A, certainly if you are first time viewers of Apocalypse Now , watch the original version first, the Redux version, I think, intended for hardcore fans and more than a curiosity to the new and improved version of the film
