Review:
I was a fan of the graphic novel V for Vendetta and Alan Moore disowned the film was a bit intimidating. But he's getting a little crazy. The film is everything we could have hoped for - gripping, chilling, intense, exciting and heartbreaking. Moore's music, if not his exact words, but the components are slightly different subplots removed. But the idea - as V would be proud to say - remains the same.The story is surprisingly complex and nuanced, and I want nothing further than that and give previews. Suffice it to say that a masked anarchist (voiced by Hugo Weaving) exposed saves a young woman (Natalie Portman), during his attempt of corruption in government. Weaving is perfectly cast giving his formidable physique and stunning voice of seriousness to the character's madness. Ninoa Portman has gone from teen star, and finally as a talented adult actress after her Oscar-nominated turn in Closer. Here she gives her best performance to date as Evey orphan. John Hurt is awesome feature as the enigmatic head of government and Stephen Rea is a wonderful supporting role as a police inspector in charge of finding V -? Before the Wachowski brothers late.The former prot g, James McTiegue, the government takes over the rights here and hooves of a very impressive first film, with every trick in the book in a manner reminiscent Hit rupture mentors The Matrix. Unlike The Matrix McTiegue allows the story to be more of a focus of the measure, and as a result, the film is a taut and emotional thriller, filmed with spectacular eruptions and choreographed action.
